Congratulations to Joe Girardi and the rest of the entire New York Yankees organization on winning the World Series (the 27th in franchise history). The Yankees win the series in 6 games and it was only fitting for Andy Pettitte to be the Yankees pitcher to clinch the win (18th career post season win which is most all time). After nine long years, Yankee fans can celebrate once again!!! In it's first year of operation, this blog can celebrate a championship for one of the two teams that the blog covers!! I will be going to the Yankees World Series ticker tape parade on Friday. I hope to see you there but not before everyone picks up the new championship gear at modells tomorrow!!!
Yankees win Game 6 7-3
MVP of the World Series - Hideki Matsui

P.S. Hey Jimmy Rollins, how's that for 'Phillies in 5'. You should stick to your NL East predictions vs the Mets because at least those are accurate. This championship just put a dent on the many hearts of Mets fans. Here's to them: LETS GO YANKEES!
New York Yankees "Empire State of Mind" remix song:
In New York, Concrete jungle where the Yankees play, there's nothing they can't do, THEY ARE NEW YORK. Their stadium is brand new, their big hits will inspire you...LET'S HEAR IT FOR NEW YORK!! YANKEES!
