The Islanders started this streak by beating their rival, the New York Rangers, 3-1 on Wednesday night at the Coliseum. On Friday, they beat Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in OT 4-3. Yesterday, The Islanders and Martin Biron shutout the Sabres 5-0 to give Biron his 200th career victory. The Islanders now stand at 4-4-5. They are also 3-0-2 in their last 5 games.
